This past winter I invested in a wardrobe staple that I am still wearing this spring- Saint Laurent combat boots. These boots are by far my favorite item that I’ve EVER splurged on. They’re easy to pair with jeans & a faux fur coat but guess what?? They can also give a flirty spring dress or skirt that cool girl edge you’ve been searching for.

1. Floral dress: Add some pattern to your outfit, & wear your combat boots with a flowery dress — the perfect mix of tough & girly! A looser dress style will look best & be the most comfortable- the more flowy the better for those hot summer days. If you’re not into florals then try polka dots or a pastel color!

2. Patterned skirt: Patterned skirts & boots are a great combination. Maybe not a pastel colored skirt, but a skirt with darker tones looks great in the summer. Try a skirt in a gingham print or linen fabric with a t-shirt & delicate jewelry.

3. Plaid button-down: Pair your plaid button-down with a graphic tank & some shorts or try it with a dress. Tying it around your waist is the best option for those steamy days, but if you happen to walk into a colder area (don’t you hate walking into an air conditioned store in the middle of summer??), then your button-down can be used as another layer.
